Endless Sourdough Starter

$12.99

Get fresh sourdough starter and start enjoying delicious bread made at home!

Instructions for using this sourdough starter can be found here.

Important Note: Our sourdough starter is alive! We recommend no more than 7 days lapse between when the starter leaves our facility and when you start feeding it. Please keep this in mind when purchasing and choosing a delivery method. To maintain freshness, we ship products every Wednesday.

For best results, open and feed within 24-48 hours of receipt.

What you’ll need: all-purpose flour, water

Ingredients: Organic white wheat flour, live active cultures. Non-GMO.

Sourdough Bread is often easier to digest than yeast-risen bread because of prebiotics and probiotic-like properties. Regular consumption may help gut health and may even help with blood sugar control. We think it tastes better, too!

Web vs Hardcopy

Conflicting instructions. Web version's first feeding is 100% different from the hardcopy shipped version. What a joke... Nothing like wasted time and $$

Best starter I’ve used

With this starter and the beginner recipe, I’ve had nothing but successes. Otherwise I was about 1 in 5.

Made some delish peanut butter cookies with the discard and have a ton in freezer.

Shipment arrived leaked all over jar and inside of box

What a mess, dried starter all over the jar and box. Website won’t let me click or orders to talk to a person.
Bad way to run a business.

Question

You have been sold out for some time. Do you have any idea when you will have sourdough and kombucha kits back into stock?

I'm giving 5 Stars to Start. Will Edit During Process

I am buying the starter culture now 4/17/2021 11am CST.
I am assuming a 5 rating to begin and will adjust this rating by taking into account S&H, packaging quality, product presentation, and of course ease of use and the final product.
I read a review where someone gave this a 1 star rating because it was "cumbersome" and "wasteful". Which seems petty and frankly a bit ridiculous because the instructions are easily read right there in the description. So if you believe its wasteful and cumbersome to tenderly and patiently grow a sourdough culture, WHY WOULD YOU BUY A SOURDOUGH STARTER KIT?
Here's to hope, patience and "cumbersome" tending of a growing culture!
